RACE INFO      REGISTRATION FORM    HOPI TRIBE

This year commemorates the 100th Anniversary of Louis Tewanima winning the Silver medal in the 10,000 meter race at the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden.

The footrace begins at the baseball field in the Village of Shungopavi, located east of the Hopi Cultural Center on Hwy 264. A FREE Pre-Race “Carb” Dinner will be held on September 1st from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. MST at the Shungopavi Community Center.

Traditional Hopi prizes and medals will be awarded to top winners for the 5K and 10K races. Commemorative medals will also be given to winners by age category.  Registered participants will receive a t-shirt with artwork designed by a local artist.
 
RACE DATE:    Sunday, September 2, 2012 (Labor Day Weekend) 

WHEN:              10K begins 6:00 a.m. MST                           
                            5K begins 6:45 a.m. MST

WHERE:            Hopi Village of Shungopavi, Second Mesa, AZ
