RACE INFO    REGISTRATION FORM    HOPI MAP   HOPI TRIBE

The annual footrace is held in honor of the late U.S. Hopi Olympian, Louis Tewanima,who won a Silver medal in the 10,000 meter race at the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden.

The footrace begins at the baseball field in the Village of Shungopavi, located east of the Hopi Cultural Center on Hwy 264. A FREE Pre-Race “Carb” Dinner will be held on August 30th from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. MST at the Shungopavi Community Center.

Traditional Hopi prizes and medals will be awarded to top winners for the 5K and 10K races. Medals will also be given to winners by age category.
